I bought home insurance with home emergency cover with esure end of last year. We had a leak coming along a room downstairs - which we suspected to be a leak from our bathroom shower area. Called esure, told them the problem, they asked about the details of the leak and what we have in the bathroom. After about 3 hours a chap arrived in a Dyno Home Emergency van. Got into the shower cubicle and filled a bucket with water and poured it through the drain on the shower cubicle. Went down to see whether the water was coming through. He did not even open the plastic casing to see where the leak was. Told me that we are not covered because we have a bath. We should get a plumber ourselves to sort it out. If he was to say this why did he have to pour water through the drain - he saw the bath in the bathroom! Why di esure send him when I described that I had a bath. After he left I called esure and complained. Later, a woman called me and told me that I am not covered. Had the same problem 2 years ago when we had AA home cover and they send a plumber who sorted the leak within an hour. Lesson learnt - We will never ever buy insurance from esure!
