“CR Smith ”

Last year me and my wife took the decision to replace all the windows and doors in our 30 year old bungalow (two set of patios doors/a front and back door and 6 large windows. We both know the value of a pound so we started looking around for suitable firms/quotes. We decided on 5 quotes and this was an interesting/frustrating/annoying task at times. The whole range of selling approaches were evident(quite a few of you will be nodding your head at this point)!!! After due deliberation we decided on CR Smith. Our reasons included - a well established company with good reviews on sites like this, we liked the quality of the product samples that we had seen at home and in the showroom and the fact they are local to us was an added bonus.
It was probably one of the best joint decisions we have made in our life.
(1) The sales team get 5 stars - the most straight talking out of them all with no flannel/dodgy tactics.
(2) Before installation we were kept well infomed of times/dates/procedure.
(3) The installation team also 5 stars, what a hard working bunch of guys. Whole job completed on time/schedule with the minimal of fuss/disturbance.

At this point some of you out there may be thinking this sounds too good to be true! Ok the installation has been completed and the dust has settled - literally!! The next part is the bit that in my opinion sorts out the good companies from the bad - after sales service. Some issues (nothing major) did arise and I will not go into detail here however these issues were dealt with in a very efficient way so after sales service team 5 stars. To expect everything to go 100% correctly with a large installation like this would have been unrealistic.

Conclusion
More than happy, no more windows streaming with condensation in the winter, the house retains it's heat better. As I said before we know the value of a pound and yes cheaper quotes were on offer but the windows and doors look great and I am glad we paid that bit extra for the American Cherry complete wood surrounds internally. It has transformed the look of the house inside and out.
