Ordered next day delivery through ASOS, whose courier is DPD, to my office. Received a text and an email to say the parcel would be delivered between 11.30 and 12.30 - great, thanks for me letting me know I thought.
Then received a text at 12.30 to say that I had been carded as no one was home. It's an open office with a manned reception until 6 o'clock - how could no one be home? They attached a photo to the text and it was small, pixelated and with an old company sign... the photo was clearly a screen grab from Google maps.
I gave their contact centre a call and a spoke to a nice, polite man who said he would try the depot. After a 10 minute wait, the man came back and said they couldn't locate the driver and he would call me back in 30 mins. No one has ever called me back. I then took to Twitter and they said the same - no one could locate the driver! I'm now on day two of parcelgate and apparently my parcel will be here by 11.30. We'll wait and see. Why bother paying for next day delivery?
