“The 1st time I played an Epiphone SG I was...”

Written on: 19/11/2005 by ryan7694

Good Points
Looks good. Pick ups give that famous blues sound, and also, on the other hand, that rocky AC/DC tone, also low action.

Bad Points
The neck is fairly heavy. Scale length of Sg is the same as a Les Paul's, but feels longer, therefore harder to play. It is also a lot thinner on the body than expected, and doesn't sit on the knee comfortably enough.

General Comments
The 1st time I played an Epiphone SG I was disappointed. It's an outstanding looking guitar, and the pick ups are great, but overall it could be better.

Personally I would save and get an Epiphone Les Paul Standard. If I was looking for an SG but couldn't afford a real Gibson, then I would buy this guitar.
