“A poor experience in terms of product and customer service”

I read all the positive reviews, felt reassured, and decided to buy my mattress with this company. I sat in for a delivery which didn't arrive. I had to sit in another day. After a few weeks I took advantage of the 60 night trial as the new mattress seemed very firm, caused backache which I have never suffered from before, and was smelly even after quite a while. Thats where the problems really started. I experienced a repeated sequence of scheduled deliveries of a replacement mattress which didn't actually happen on the day agreed, an unscheduled attempt when I wasn't there, and pickup of the existing mattress also not being fulfilled on the agreed day. I spent a huge amount of time on the phone trying to sort it out. In total, 6 days of sitting in at home waiting for deliveries, lots of time on the phone in queues, massive stress, and a limited amount of compensation. Exasperating! The replacement mattress? A 1000 pocket sprung memory foam, - still a very firm feel and smelly. I have had a memory foam mattress before from a different firm, more expensive but been very happy and not experienced this. Should have gone elsewhere and I will in the future without question.
