“Delivery problems”

I received an email stating that my order would be delivered on Tuesday, on Tuesday I received another message stating delivery would be made between 12-46 & 1-46 pm. Just before 3pm, having received no delivery, I checked my mail again, to find a message stating that either I had been out or the driver could not find the address. I contacted the firm and was told that they were behind with their orders and that it had not gone out yet. I asked if I could collect and was told I could so that is what I did. On making the collection I was asked if I lived in a new road, when I told them the road was over 40 years old they told me they would have a word with the driver.
I don't know if the parcel went out or not, all I know is that I had a wasted day and finished up collecting it myself. Not a good experience or advert for either party.
