“Everything fine when delivered.”

After reading these reviews I was a bit skeptical about purchasing our sofas from Next, however there seem to have been no problems with the Stratus range. After ordering in September we were given a 16 week wait, which personally I think is ridiculous for a custom made sofa. Anyway, we were happy to wait and receive the sofa for the new year as we were planning on redecorating our lounge which is now underway. We ordered the Stratus Small Left Hand Corner Chase & Snuggle Chair in the Soft Marl Silver Fabric. After 8 weeks the snuggle chair was ready but we were happy to wait until the sofa was ready before both were delivered. When reaching the maximum day our sofa was due there was still no word from next. We contacted next who told us they would call us on Christmas Eve and they never called. We then rearranged another call and the sofa was planned to be delivered on New Years Eve. We were given a time slot of 4:30-6:30pm and we received a call at 4:00pm. The sofa was delivered and delivery men were extremely helpful, friendly and careful when handling our sofas. Everything seems to be great and the sofas were exactly what we were hoping for. As for the long-term quality we can't really comment yet.

I must agree that the customer service for Next is terrible and needs to be tightened up. As we chose to wait 16 weeks it would be nice to receive updates on our sofa but there was no updates from next across the 16 week period. It also seems strange when they are happy taking the money off you then just make you wait for 16 weeks. The quality of next products and their delivery service seems to be great considering the reviews I have read. I have given 4 stars purely for the current quality of the sofa and the delivery, otherwise I would have gave it a 2-3 star for their customer service. Overall I am happy with my purchases and hope there are no future problems with the sofas.
