“This is a nice fragrance that lasts for a while...”

written by Erin D on 05/08/2005

Good Points
Nice, pretty floral scent, that has a very clean drydown.

Bad Points
It isn't very unique; not for those who want a fragrance that "stands out"

General Comments
This is a nice fragrance that lasts for a while without being cloying. It starts off as an expensive garden, but the drydown is quick, and the smell transitions into an extremely clean scent; soapy and a little bit generic. However, a freshly-showered scent that I enjoyed. It has been compared to Romance, but I think it's much lighter than that.

Vera Wang is an overall pleasing scent, though conversely, it could be considered a run-of-the-mill fragrance. It's something I envision being worn by a 20-something bride or bridesmaid as her special, elegant, grown-up fragrance. Actually I could see it being worn anywhere, anytime, because it has a nice work-to-play quality to it; for anyone from early to mid 20s to late 30s and possibly early 40s. It's both young and sophisticated, and though it isn't really sexy (according to my boyfriend, anyway), I wouldn't call it innocent, either. Light, airy, floral, pretty, clean, a little powdery. I think it could be worn all year by most women. A lovely bottle, a universal fragrance, a fashionable name; this would be a sure bet to give as a gift.
