“Worst customer service”

We ordered a Ceasar board at the Chester store. They estimated a 13 week delivery.
I am writing to you to share my recent experience with your local harveys store in Crawley. We ordered a garden furniture set on 18th April 2014 which was on display in store at price £399.00(table with 4 chairs and two stools and free parasol). We asked the sales agent many times that this was the right price displayed before ordering and he assured us this. He placed our order and gave us 2 weeks delivery time. Two weeks passed and there was no sign of furniture. Only when we chased the local store again we were told that there was an issue with the order. On the price we could not get the set that we liked and were initially told was the price for this. I feel cheated now. One they never called us to inform about the issue with the order before and only on our call we were told. Two despite of being assured by the sales rep that the one we picked had the right displayed price it turned out to be a false information. We wanted to raise complaint but were told there is no complaint procedure. Sales rep was very rude and said we can talk on this whole day and there will be no result so it's better you take money. I really wanted them to send the set that we liked at the price they told us initially.In the end they agreed to refund the money as there was no other option. We we're told the money will be credited back tomorrow but that did not happen. When I called again to chase was told that there is no request on my order for refund and that he will have to process this again. Finally I was paid back after a week. All the sales reps gave us appalling customer service. I am now worried about my other order for a sideboard worth £ 1081.after numerous calls,visit to the store in crawley( where again the sales rep was rude and started shouting as if we have done something wrong buying the stuff from them.Also we were so looking forward to the garden set for summers but were left without one. With this kind of service I will never buy anything from harveys and would not recommend to family and friends. I am still happy to take the garden furniture that we selected at the initially agreed price as it was not my fault that they had not displayed the correct pricing and did not have courtesy to call and inform also. This was my first dealing with you and after such an experience I went with furniture village for my other furniture worth £9K. I just thought I will share my experience with you to make it clear to you the loss that you have to bear because of issues with store.

It's been eight months and I am still waiting for my sideboard to get replaced because the one you delivered as a replacement is damaged
Dealing direct with the stores, we had a series of "untruths" about missing containers, high demand, lack of materials before finally they told us they didn't know and to contact Customer Services.Customer Services have been appalling; no updates or apologies.
Really interesting that even at the start of this month some competitors were promising Christmas delivery ! I will shop next time at these stores. I could not recommend Harveys to anyone.
