“Warning to Future Purchasers”

Please, please do not buy a sofa from this company. You will notice the majority of the good reviews are from the sales experience. They are fantasic at the sales point but when things go wrong they will do what ever they can to avoid putting things right. We paid over £2000 for a leather sofa and after a little over 12 months the leather / colour started to lift. Contacted Sofaworks who sent out one or their own technicians and told me it was wear and tear. What a joke, a leather sofa, cared for in line with their instructions and care pack would deteriorate that bad in just over a year - no way. They offered a cosmetic repair as long as I agreed to sign a form to say I agreed it was wear and tear - no way I was signing that. The sofa is now 19 months old and is a complete embarrassment. I have seen leather sofas over 10 years old and in much better condition. I even refered this to the Furniture Ombudsman but they were of no use. According to them the onus was on me to prove there was a fault with the sofa. The fact that they had seen the photo's of the sofa did not warrent as proof but Sofaworks own techincal report did. I am absolutly livid and waying up my next move. In the meantime I will do what ever I can to warn people of this company. So please do not buy from them as once they have your money they are not bothered. Worse thing is I still have 2.5 years still to pay on it!!!
