“such a poorly run site”

just like most of you here, my experience with gumtree was a disaster and I would never use them again as they treat customers as if we are enemies. They keep deleting my advert and do not tell you why, when emailing them, they ignore me, then this week I get lots of spam from them promoting gumtree but HEY, they deleted my advert so it is obvious that are just collecting email addresses to send unsolicited emails, be warned, gumtree is not a site to use, they pretend to be a classifieds site but in reality they are collecting data which they use and probably sell to others, it's strange that the email address used was only for gumtree but I am now getting junk mail from companies I do not know of.
Let us hope that in 2015, gumtree is taken down, they are of no use to consumers
