I recently ordered a Ice card for a 3 day trip to New York, thought with their emergency card back up plan it would be a safe way to take my money, only to find one afternoon whilst trying to purchase some goods at a check out that they had frozen my account for no reason, as you can only call within UK banking hours to have access to you account details to find out why . So my only option was to cancel my card and try using the emergency card only to find i could not use this either, which left me in New York with no money until the UK office was reopened in the morning to which they were unable to tell me why my account had been frozen!! Felt very let down not to mention the embarrassment at the checkout!
