Recently moved into a rented property with Bridgfords, after paying as most people have said, pretty extortionate admin fees, deposit and one months rent up front etc. Paying this you expect a good level of service but unfortunately this has not been the case. There are various issues with the flat - it's quite obvious they just gave it a quick once over after the previous tenant left and thought "that'll do". It has not been cleaned - there was hair in the bath, dust everywhere and it smelt extremely musty (this is a modern apartment). The fobs they gave us don't work and the fan in the kitchen is broken and constantly stays on (these have not been properly checked either which is concerning as unclean fans can increase risk of legionnaires disease) and one of the shelves in the freezer is broken. None of this was flagged when we moved in and I bet if we hadn't mentioned it, at the end of the tenancy they'd try to charge us!
Having flagged all the above issues I received an email stating they would send a cleaner round straight away. 10 days later, no cleaner and after 6 emails to someone at the Leeds branch and calls, no response. Finally got through after chasing again and was met with a very rude and condescending tone and being talked over as I explained my disappointment.
No apology, no cleaner (so might as well have done it myself) - attempted to replace fob but this new one didn't work either as I doubt they even checked it and whoever was meant to be coming to check the fan didn't turn up after we'd waited all day for him!
We are still waiting on all these issues to be fixed and not once has there been an apology for a) the issues themselves, b) being ignored for a week and c) the fact that these issues have still not been resolved!
Word of warning, avoid Bridgfords at all costs - costly and unprofessional.
