Good Points
Handling, that engine, Recaros, rear wing, revs, revs, revs!
Bad Points
Interior marks easily, stereo and speakers poor
General Comments
This Honda Accord 2.2 Type-R Sports car has spoiled me for most others! I have owned a BMW 3 series, cavalier SRI's, and others, but nothing compares to the handling and sheer enjoyment of this. My work has some pool cars that i use regularly, a Vectra SRi 150 V6, Jaguar X-type, Mondeo 2.0, Omega 2.2, and I used to quite enjoy ripping them all (when it's not your car, you tend to take it to the limit every time, I find) however they all feel rubbish now after owning the type-r for a couple of months. The only car I have been in lately that compared was a Porsche Carrera 4S- not a bad comparison to make, when you consider the 90k difference in price!
I find that I keep taking other cars to their rev limiters, as I run out of revs because I am so used to 8000. My wife isn't too happy as her 1.8 Vectra has never been driven so hard!
Only complaints are that the stereo and speakers are poor, but £500 has fixed that and given me a good Sony stereo and speakers, and black exhausts don't look the best, however that has given me an excuse to go out and buy a couple of stainless back-boxes.
Last word goes to that rear wing- it makes the car in my opinion, and lets people know they are up against it at the lights!
