I recently purchased an oven and induction hob from JL, spending over £1,000. We went to JL because of their boasting of 'worldwide customer service'. The appliances were delivered and fitted on the same day, brilliant, except the hob was damaged with a large scratch. I called the customer services dept and was told a replacement would be arranged. I have booked a day off work next Tuesday in order for the installation to take place but yesterday received a text saying that it would be the following week - no explanation or apology. I spent a lot time on the phone yesterday trying to ascertain why they have changed the date, only to be told that I had never been given that date in the first place - good job I have their text stating the 18th!! I was passed from person to person with no help whatsoever. Twice promised a return phone call - none received!! I still don't know which date it is being installed on and more to the point have to take yet another day off work, this time unpaid leave. Not acceptable, I will never use JL again.
