I wanted to contact W H Brown first as we had used them years ago when we had sold our previous house and bought our present one. We were happy with the service then....
I now wanted a valuation for my house to assess whether it was worth my while finishing works on the property or not. Two other agents provided me with written valuations.
W H Brown did not. I spoke to one of their reps on the phone. He said the original valuer would get back to me. He did not.
I phoned the next week and spoke to the original valuer himself. He assured me he would send the valuation. He did not.
I emailed to ask for the valuation by email, Heard nothing.
I emailed again on Sunday. Still nothing.
I think that they must either not need my custom as they are doing very well indeed and need no recommendation from me....
....or they are incompetent.
Perhaps they thought I was not serious?
Either way, I will not be contacting them again when I do sell and will certainly not be recommending their services to any friends or relatives.
I believe it's called 'shooting yourself in the foot'?
