This is the only good thing about TALK TALK mobile: Talk Talk mobile phone works fine.
The worst thing is internet access via smartphone when you are on M4, M25 or M1. Traveling with TALKTALK mobile is atrocious, there is hardly any signal on the main UK motorways. If you are lucky enough and you are passing by a bigger city you may catch 3G for a minute or two, but forget about access to the internet on the go. If you are checking TALK TALK coverage do not be mislead by the information on them using VODAFONE coverage... They do use VODAFONE but partly... When you join talktalk they send you a special link to get a modification on your smartphone which I supposed allows you to use only part of VODAFONE net. I'd used Vodafone before and access to internet was almost permanent.
I bought a monthly contract with TALK TALK 3 weeks ago and due to lack of proper coverage I wanted to leave them by the end of October. Today I called them and told them clearly that in a week I wanted to be out. They disconnected me immediately, I couldn't even finish the conversation with an India girl when my number was cancelled. I called them back (from my land line) in order to get connection for another week on my mobile and was told that it won't happen quicker as in 3 days!!! I spend 45 minutes on the phone first to be able to leave TALK TALK and then to be able to still have their number for another week... for what I have already paid. Outcome: I am out of reach on my mobile for another 3 days and I need to call them in 7 days to cancel the contract.
How ridiculous and careless it is!
Last good point on TALK TALK: their broadband works.
