Our fridge freezer sadly packed up last weekend.
We went to Curry's online to order a new fridge/freezer thinking they would offer a reliable service with fast delivery, as these days a fridge/freezer is pretty vital in the kitchen.
What we got was far from it, to the point were we have cancelled our order and gone to a local independent instead.
It took Curry's 4 days from the order date to contact us to arrange delivery. When they finally called to say it was in stock and ready to despatch, we were told they could not deliver for another 4 days. The next day we called Curry's to see if it could be brought forward, to be told the item wasn't actually in stock and they couldn't delivery for yet another 2 days after the booked delivery date.
With much frustration we asked to book the delivery for the new date, only to be told actually no, they can't deliver for a further 3 days after this! Making it 13 days from order to delivery.
With no apology or any attempt to go the extra mile after their lack of good service and mess up, we asked to speak to the Manager, to which we were told the Manager would not speak to us as there is nothing they could do.
This is an unacceptable service. But what more can we expect from a faceless corporation.
If you have any common sense, use the local independents. These are the people who know how to give a reliable friendly service and go the extra mile to help you. And why not, customer retention is in their best interests.
Avoid Curry's and you'll have a 'stress free happy white goods' life!
