“A recommendation for Highend Headphones”

Needing to spend more time listening to music via headphones due to changed family circumstances I had been seeking to purchase a set of quality headphones to do justice to my large, and varied, collection of music. I had read a number of reviews, but wanted to listen for myself as not only sound quality but also long-term comfort are important to me. I struggled to find a hifi store with a sufficiently wide range of brands to compare.
Then along came Highend Headphones – which for me was a truly great find. Indeed, anyone that intends to spend a serious amount of time listening to music via headphones would be well advised to pay them a visit.
[names removed] have provided a perfect opportunity to listen to a range of headphones, costing from £200 - £5000, in a very comfortable, tastefully presented environment with easy car-parking. Not only that they stock a wide range of headphone amplifier/DACs, again with prices ranging from about £200 to the retro-looking McIntosh MHA100 at almost £5000! I don’t know anywhere else in the UK that can match this level of quality and diversity, but there are two other factors which make Highend Headphones a must visit place. Firstly being associated with Hifi Lounge means that they have a range of front end devices, including network streamers and turntables that can give you an idea of the kind of results you can expect from your own source. Secondly there is [names removed] ’s hospitality and knowledge. They listened to my requirements, made a few initial suggestions for starting points and in the light of my responses gently helped me come to an appropriate choice (without any hint of sales pressure). I then listened to for an extended period just to be sure. All the while, [name removed] kept me topped up with coffee and made sure that I was comfortable in their high quality furniture as I sat back and enjoyed my music. Having made my purchase, I knew that I had spent my money wisely on a set of headphones and an amplifier that I was confident would give me long term listening pleasure.
