“Three calls, two disappointments”

We took out the breakdown cover for a year, starting in December 2013, for UK and part of Europe. We called Drive24-7 three times while in the UK:
Once because of a flat tyre. Had a call from a mechanic to get our location, turned out he was a 5 hour drive away. He told Drive24-7 and then they contacted a mechanic in our area. This mechanic was pleasant and did the job well.
We called twice because of starting problems - we cancelled the first call-out because we managed to get the car started. As far as we know they hadn't assigned a mechanic yet.
About six month later we placed the second call regarding starting problems. They would not even consider doing anthing because the problem was similar as about 6 months earlier and they didn't have proof that the problem was solved. Telling them the battery was the problem the first time and we had a new battery put in did not help. They simply refused to help in an way, shape or form. We were never told we had to sent proof of fixing. This time the problem was the starter motor and after a few days we managed to find a local mechanic who came to the house to put another starter motor in.
During that last call my husband told them right there on the phone we didn't want the policy anymore!
