“Awesome Canadian Adventure”

I was super pleased to have the assistance from an adviser at Rocky Peak Holidays in planning my summer trip to Canada. Not only was he professional and knowledgeable about West Canada (the sights to see, best ways of getting around etc.) but he also saved me a little with discounted train tickets, car hire and accommodation. No effort was too much and he was excellent.

The only hiccups I encountered with dealing with Rocky Peak Holidays were the flexibility with regard to payment. Despite paying for the trip in US dollars via US credit card, I was still charged a fee by my bank because the Rocky Peak Holidays account is Canadian. I don't see this as the company's fault, but something to be aware of when you have to pay.

For military members, also be aware that being deployed is not a sufficient reason to make changes to your trip. My boyfriend had to deploy to the Middle East six weeks before we were due to take our trip. Rocky Peak Holidays offer 0% refund for cancellation or changes, so keep that in mind. Fortunately, they were very helpful in changing the ticket so that a friend could come with me. However, at a challenging time like losing your loved one for months on a deployment, I wanted to be able to re-book the trip and share the experience with my partner, not lose all the money and be forced to complete the trip. I would rather forego the discounts for some flexibility.
