Firstly, In the past I've been ripped off with unfair fuel policies, like the time I spent a few days over Christmas in Spain and had to purchase a full tank with no refund when I handed the car back with 3/4 remaining. With Economy I know that I will always only pay for what I use. Secondy, for a small extra fee I can have, and always take, insurance cover for all the circumstances that even a full Crash Damage Waiver insurance doesn't cover, like damaged tyres and underbody (easily done in some places). If taken at the car hire desk this can cost a small fortune. Thirdly, a second driver is free. Remember to get your travelling companion to take his/her driving license and give details at the hire desk. I recently had 3 days in a Spanish hospital a fair distance from our villa and the extra driver facility made life a lot more convenient for my fiance. Finally, I don't think Economy's prices can be beaten. This sounds as if it's been written by the MD or the ad man, doesn't it? No, I'm a 69 YO senior citizen from the south of England and I always use Economy. End of.
