I was insured for a year which was okay but nothing to write home about. When it came to the renewal the company completely messed up!
I received note of the renewal and after checking the price against other insurance companies I rang them up to see if they could match it as their renewal price was much higher than others.
They could not reduce the price so, obviously I cancelled the renewal, this I was told had gone through and that was the end of it.
That month I went on holiday to the states on the premise that the insurance was cancelled...5 days before I was due to fly home over £300 was removed from my bank account from Admiral. 3 days before leaving a further £900 was taken from my account. I was left stranded in San Francisco with £50 and no way of contacting them without paying a fortune in phone bills.
On my return I tried to sort this out and was very unhappy with the service I received, I could prove I have cancelled the policy but I was questioned further.
Finally I was compensated with a tiny £100 for the inconvenience of which I rejected and was offered a further £50 extra.
Not quite the compensation for 3 days with no money on the trip of a life time in the states.
Never to use them again!
