“AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!”

I recently took out an insurance policy with E Insurance through a cost comparison site. I was happy with the quote and send in my no claims discount etc. My NCD was acquired in Ireland which according to their FAQs was fine as it is in the EU. They subsequently e-mailed my to say they hadn't received same, I e-mailed them to say I had sent it in. We too'ed and fro'ed - 20 or so e-mails, with a constant threat of them cancelling the policy with a hefty cancellation fee thrown in. They then told me that Agean Insurance who my policy was taken out with do not accept NCDs outside of UK, therefore E Insurance will be cancelling the policy. All this has been communicated through e-mail. You can only reach them by phone by calling a premium rate number at £1.50 a minute. Customer service 0%. I really regret going through them as I now have a battle on my hands to sort this mess out. I have a cancellation fee of £45, even though I have no option but to cancel as I am not covered. I was not informed initially that my no claims discount was not valid with the company they chose to put me through. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY!
