This tour included some fantastic cities. The coach was comfortable and well driven by Dietmar. Most of the hotels were good but Hotel Kavalier in Vienna and Hotel Rivoli in Munich were definitely not 4 star! The included breakfasts were good on the whole with selections of fruit and cereals, cold meats and cheeses and varying standards of "English Breakfast". Toast preparation was poor in most venues with small machines which were very slow. A number of the hotels did not have tea/coffee making facilities and the quality of pillows was also disappointing in a few. Only 2 bathrooms had walk-in showers.
The included excursions gave an excellent insight into the visited cities but unfortunately the local guides in Warsaw and Prague were poor- too political and a very halting delivery & slow walking respectively. The optional tours were generally good value for money.
Included dinners were ok with the one at the Aquincum the best.
The coach party consisted of Canadians, Australians, New Zealanders, Americans and Brits. We had a very good rapport which was enhanced by the excellent services of Zsofia, our Hungarian tour director.
We are looking forward to our next tour with Archers.
