“Rentalcars.com 0 help when needed”

We traveled to the South of Spain with a big family. We rented the 9 seater through Hertz in Marbella. Although the van was very basic and we were worried about underground parking it went pretty well.
NOT in the NORTH. We rented out of Bilboa and drove to San Sebastián. It ruined our vacation. They gave us a Citroen van. It could not be parked anywhere, it had brake issues and they required us to spend a whole day at the shop, then the A/C stopped working. Finally the starter was going bad. We asked for assistance at the Enterprise/Atesa office. The manager in San Sebastián was the rudest person I have ever encountered. Her staff was clearly afraid of her. We lost so much time finding out of town parking, dealing with a non functioning car and making calls thereby using up the mins on our SIM cards requiring us to return to put more money on them. Time and money lost and for nothing!
We reached out to Rentalcars.com for help since we booked with them. No support, no car replacement, no money returned for our hassles. Just suck it up and deal with it!
Truly the worst customer service EVER!
Do NOT use Rentalcars.com. They just take a piece and don't offer any help at all.
Additionally DO NOT get a van if you are traveling to San Sebastián, Spain.
Finally, DO NOT rent from Enterprise/Atesa in the North of Spain. Ridiculous!
