“item inclosed arrived at destination an empty box!!!”

I am extremely annoyed that i used collect plus to return an unsatisfactory item (medium priced watch), which was definatley in the box when i wrapped it and delivered it to asda hoddesdnn for collect plus pick up!!!
i then receive a letter stating that an empty box had arrived at the very.co.uk HQ and that i would not be refunded the £65 (cost of watch) and that i would be charged 3.95 for the empty box and letter to be posted back to my address!!!!
I feel very let down and wrongly trusted what seemed to be a very safe service!
so i hope the employee is enjoying their free tortoise shell ice ladies watch!!!
Do not ask me for receipt as proof as postage as this was not given when the item was dropped off and scanned in on the asda hoddesdon computer, you know very well that the item was delivered!
POST OFFICE ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!
