trying to send a deposit to an individual in Poland we were buying a house from, was not as straight forward as it promised. A sum of money was sent to their bank for them to forward to the beneficiary, and that was accepted. It was found then that they shouldn't have accepted it as it was not from the accountholder as she hadn't got internet banking but the partner had. We were told it had been rejected (incorrect-they had accepted it-proof on their website)so it was to be returned to the sender. The account holder was told it would take "several weeks" because of banking rules (absolute rubbish) and the partner spoke to them and was told 7 days (also rubbish). Had to be forceful with them to get the money back as soon as possible and it took 2 working days. (proof of their lies). Then the funds were sent electronically on a Saturday morning and told be the sending bank it takes 2 hours to reach the account. It is Monday afternoon now and they still haven't acknowledged receipt of the funds. A phone call was made on Monday morning by the account holder and she was told we don't check bank account receipts until the afternoon. how slack is that when something is urgent especially in finance. Will definitely not use this bunch again. BUSINESS LOST!!
