“Excellent rapid response”

My home insurance includes "home emergency" services from Homeserve. One evening we experienced a toilet that would not stop flushing. After ascertaining that the situation was not causing damage to the property, the call centre arranged an appointment for the following morning. However, approximately 30 minutes later my call we were contacted to say an engineer had just finished a call in the locality and enquired if the visit could take place that same evening in spite of being quite late. We were happy to agree and the engineer duly arrived. His attitude and demeanour was excellent and in spite of the late hour he was patient in resolving the problem at least in the short term, although he advised that some further attention may be required in the future. Nevertheless I am pleased to commend this level to service.
