“Chalk and cheese”

written by on 14/09/2014

Myself and my wife travelled to Lanzarote at the end of August along with my wife's parents, both of whom needed wheelchair assistance.Upon our arrival we were met by 2 people with wheelchairs for my wife's parents. We collected our luggage and proceeded to the arrivals hall where we expected to be met by someone holding up a board with our name on or a Suntransfers board,we could see neither. Then my wife spotted someone with a Suntransfers board partially hidden so we gave them our name and we were pointed to our driver, who then proceeded to walk very quickly to his vehicle. He seemed in a hurry and gave no regard to the fact that I was pushing a trolley with 6 bags on and my wife's parents were in wheelchairs.Had it not been for the people from the airport who were familiar with the route to the vehicle we would have lost sight of him.We then boarded the mini-bus which had no seatbelts and were subjected to a white-knuckle ride around roundabouts and were glad when it was over and we reached our destination.
On our return journey the driver was there early and could not have been more helpful and drove very sensibly. As the review title says chalk and cheese.
