“Harveys - very poor indeed”

I placed at the Cambridge branch of Harveys on 28th May 2014 for a dining table, 4 chairs and a dresser.

I was told that the order would take up to 9 weeks to be delivered. The table and sideboard with the glass display top were both duly delivered on the 27th July, but at this point I was told that the chairs would be delivered separately, although no delivery date could be confirmed. Shortly after this, I was informed, after making numerous phone calls to the store, to Head Office and via an online chat, that the company supplying the chairs had gone into administration and it was impossible to tell me when I would receive them. I was then contacted to say that they would be delivered on 9th September. It's the 9th September today and still no chairs.... it's a long story and I can't even be bothered to go into it all, except to say I am VERY VERY angry.

By this date, I would have been without chairs for 7 weeks after the delivery of the table.

The table and dresser are just what I wanted but as for Customer Service - I am appalled that a company can treat customers in such a way. They are promising me compensation but it was like getting blood out of a stone... watch this space...

DO NOT BOTHER GOING TO THIS STORE!!
