I rented a car today from sixt in terminal 2 in Dublin Airport. I reserved the Toyota rav 4 the night previous. When I arrived to the desk there were 9 people in front of me in the queue. I arrived there at 12.50, I didn't get seen to until 13.55!!!! Over an hour! My flight from the uk was shorter than the wait I had ! When I eventually got to the desk the female ( pregnant blonde lady-not wearing a name tag) did not apologise or even acknowledge the lengthy wait. I thought that was extremely rude
The couple infront of me in the queue were elderly and had flown from Australia, I felt so sorry for them after such a long journey to have stand in line for so long. The gentleman behind me on the queue was French, after 30 mins he left the queue and went to europcar desk as he said he was going to be late for a meeting.
I understand that there are peak times, but there was only 9 customers/families in the queue, there were 3 people in the desks... Waiting over an hour is really really ridiculous, and no sign of an acknowledgement or an apology is rude and disappointing. I fly into Dublin every 12 days and rent SUVs, I won't used sixt again and I won't recommend them, I will be posting this review everywhere, people should know what to expect upon arrival to Dublin airport. I wish i had of been advised in advance...So unorganised and unfriendly. I've never had this kind of experience with hertz or enterprise, I'll be going back to them in future.
Disappointed new customer. Once my meetings here are complete I'll be returning the car early and renting with another company
