My daughter ordered an item off the internet and tried to return it to the Hartlepool store. The lady in store only offered a gift card. We called the store manager who told us this was a mistake by the staff member and we should return for a refund. However the store refused a second time as the Manager had not left a note. We called the call centre and the advisor offered his opinion of the refund policy and not the companies. We asked to speak to a Manager and he stated he was the most senior person that customers of RI are allowed to talk to. We asked for a call reference and he refused, We asked for a location of the call centred and he again refused.
Surely RI has a return policy that they can honour and are not allowing individual staff members to ruin relationships with their customers.
