“Wrong airport”

When I booked a holiday to Dominican Republic the price then went up by £200 when I was going to pay the for balance of the holiday. The representative that I booked the holiday with made a mistake with the original price quoted which took nearly 12hours to rectify as they could not retrieve the original booking price which was emailed to me. I was then sent to the wrong airport arriving at Punta Cana when the hotel was located in Boco Chica being 2hrs away costing £93 in taxi fares to and from the hotel to the airport. When I arrived back from holiday and spoke to the representative that booked the holiday, he then said that he informed us that the journey to the airport would take 1 1/2 hours. This was a lie as he said the journey to the hotel would be 10-15mins. Even if he did say that the journey would take 1 1/2 hours (which was not the case), common sense would have made him book a flight to the nearest airport which was actually only 15mins away costing £19 in taxi fares each way.

Will be making an official complaint to teletext holidays for a refund of £160 that we wasted on travelling between the hotel and airport.

Would not recommend teletext holidays to anyone.
