“DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY”

We needed two bridesmaids dresses in quite a hurry, but the lady in the shop assured us that 4 weeks was plenty of time because if we paid for express delivery they would be here in two weeks. We ordered two dresses on the 16th July and paid for the dresses and express delivery . Two weeks came and we didn't here anything so I went back into the shop on the 30th July to be told they wasn't in and was probably stuck in customs and that she would chase it up. I explained that i needed the dresses by the 17th August as we was flying to America to get married. On the 13th August I was starting to panic as now there was no time to have alterations if the dresses didn't fit, so I went back in to be told they still hadn't arrived. The manager said that she would call me either that night or the next day she did neither so I phoned them on the 15th August to be put on hold and I over heard them say " oh its that customer" Now i'm guessing they meant its the customer they quite happily took £500 off now haven't got the dresses so are panicking. When someone decided to speak to me they said the dresses were arriving Saturday evening so I could pick them up on Sunday 17th August. Now Im a little bit nervous as if I needed to get the dresses altered it would have to be done in America as there would be no time. So the next day me and the bridesmaids returned to collect the dresses. We arrived at opening time and the lady took my invoice went out the back and wasn't to be seen for about 15 minutes, then another manager came over to ask us when the dresses should have been in I explained the whole story and that they should have been in weeks ago. Then she said no one should have told me to come and collect Sunday as they only get deliveries on week days. So a day before I fly I have no bridesmaids dresses. The manager then said we could choose any two dresses of the shop floor ? I then reminded her I had paid for new dresses not second hand dresses that loads of people had been wearing. I asked for a refund to be told that I needed to come back in an hour as she needs to get authority to refund the money back onto my card ? So after an hour we went back and managed to get the refunded fingers crossed it goes back onto my card. I will NEVER step foot in there shop again as they have managed to ruin a wedding as we now have no bridesmaids dresses before we fly tomorrow.
