General Comments
I was so excited to get this Siemens SL45 phone which very soon turned into a big disappointment. The phone would switch itself off whether it was in your pocket or sitting on the desk, the 6 button had to be pressed very hard to work. The phone would also freeze up in the menu and I would have to remove the battery to reset it. I rang Siemens who informed me that they would send a new replacement handset after having to argue with them for 30mins. I received a replacement handset which turned out to be refurbished and not brand new. This phone was sent to me with somebody elses MMC card. I contacted Siemens who insisted that it was new, not only that the replacement phone also switched off and the reception was virtually non existent. They agreed to replace it with a brand new one this time, a few days later another refurbished handset turned up which I refused to accept. Then I requested my original handset back once it was repaired. I got it back after a few days and it still was turning off. After informing Telstra who I bought the phone from about all these problems they agreed to take the phone back and refund my money, this took several calls to Siemens (most unhelpful) and Telstra. My experience with this phone and Siemens Australia was most unpleasant to say the least. I am back to using my 12 month old Nokia 6210 which is still going strong.
