“Much, much better than I ever expected”

Ordered a Canon 700D twin lens kit on July 31st, 2014. Delivered via DHL on the 12th after a two day delay at Customs.

I was a bit hesitant to order from Simply Electronics, after reading all the negative reviews. However a friend of a friend advised me that he had ordered his camera from this site and their service was much better than some reviewers were saying. I therefore took the risk and was not disappointed with the results.

Cost - I saved around 250 Euros when compared to other retailers.
Customer service - Emails sent with queries before ordering and for status updates while order was in process were answered within 3-4 hours. Calls were immediately answered, even though the call quality was a bit lacking.
Shipping - I was surprised when items were shipped from Hong Kong rather than the UK. I had previously called to inquire from where these were to be shipped and I was told from the UK. I was therefore worried sick that I would be charged VAT and Customs. This was however not the case - DHL told me that all and any charges were reverted to the sender. I did not fork a single cent more than I paid out for the camera.

Bottom line - Would I buy again from SimplyElectronics - YES I WOULD.
Would I recommend it to friend - Definitely.
