I did not appreciate the difference between Auto Glass and Auto Windscreen. My Insurance Company (NFU) has an excess of £50 for replacement carried out by Auto Glass but £70 for work carried out by other companies. I was thus £20 out of pocket for having chosen the "wrong" company.
However, the technician dealing with my problem did offer me the opportunity to change my mind and contact Auto Glass instead. I was not inclined to do this given the time it would take.
I am bound to say that the Technician did a first rate job. I would recommend Auto Windscreen given the very competent repair and the cheery countenance of the technician. It's a shame I lost £20 in the process.
Perhaps when I contacted your Company, I might have been told that the NFU has a commercial deal with Auto Glass that would benefit me financially.
