“Unhelpful, rude, unprofessional, rip off merchant ”

We booked our first holiday in years this week and what was supposed to be an exciting experience has turned into a very stressful disappointing one thanks to the staff of Thomas Cook. I booked it online and carelessly made a mistake with my dates, I take full responsibility for this and boy am I suffering for it now. I was meant to travel to Costa Del Sol on 15th Aug 2014 but stupidly chose Oct in the drop down list! I rang them immediately and asked to change the booking. The first person I spoke to on the phone was worse than useless even though I knew the holiday would cost more and I asked if there was any possibility of the admin fees being waived to help me as I would be paying £600 more anyway. She passed me on to a second person who apparently couldn't articulate with another human being and cut me off, I dread to think how much my phone bill is going to be! I had to ring back and finally got through after being on hold for a half hour and the third woman I spoke to didn't have a clue what she was doing. First she said I could change the flights and hotel then she said I would lose the flights and have to book new ones and now I was suddenly informed I would lose the whole holiday if I changed and have to buy the entire thing again!,, then when I asked to speak to her supervisor she said she didn't have one so I asked to be put through to the complaints department and miraculously she was suddenly the complaints department lol. It's a long story and don't want to bore anyone reading this but basically we have had to just grit our teeth and go on our holiday in October instead........ Please DONT BOOK WITH THOMAS COOK. RUDE, UNHELPFUL, ILL MANNERED AND COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT CUSTOMERS.
