This machine is so simple you can easily forget that it is there. No electrics to think about, knowing when to refill is simple and the salt blocks are simple to insert. No need to think about regeneration this is done at the appropriate time (based on water usage) using the twin tanks so no loss of soft water - simple. Having had a previous softener, with electics and regeneration occuring every 3 days, irrespective of usage, the TwinTec is not only much simpler but much more cost efficient. It also uses less water when regenerating so a double whamy on cost. Also you do not have to try and remember to turn off when going on holiday, no water usage no regeneration needed!I should have changed to the TwinTec years ago and would recommend this softener to anyone wanting a simple and effective water softener that is cost effective while producing wonderfully soft water.
