“DO NOT USE(unless you're happy to pay an excess of...”

written by Sincerev350 on 18/07/2014

Previously we had used Greenflag as our breakdown service provider and had no complaints whatsoever with their service over the past year, but costs for this year increased significantly, therefore we thought we'd look around to find a better deal.....so hallelujah, when we came across this company, ie. rescuemycar, in the belief that they would be the best and cheapest option to go with....BUT

Less than two months in (policy start date = 01/05/2014), this is DEFINITELY NOT the case, and will be cancelling our policy from tomorrow (even if no refund if forthcoming, which having read previous reviews, is more than likely! but its worth it, if only to leave a company, which operates as such.....)

The fact is that we paid for "full" coverage for 2 vehicles, but apparently NOT, unless you pay the excess (ie. £40) for EACH & EVERY incident that you breakdown for, (even for a deflated tyre/puncture and it STILL doesnt get fixed!!).....hence, please ensure that you read the full "Term's & Condition's", BEFORE you take up their policy...! Somehow, the company does not market that fact, therefore, i highly advise that you be extremely weary of them and their practices, more so if you are unfortunate enough to be at the mercy of them, cos I guarantee you will be far worse off!!

From what I've gathered, the company outsources their repair agencies, with no vetting process WHATSOEVER, so on top of the £40 excess you have to pay for a call-out (every single time:-even if nothing is actually done!!!!), the 3rd parties are still in a position to profit massively, which I can confirm that they attempted to do (to my absolute disgust!, yet 'rescuemycar' takes no responsibility nor wants to accept any responsibility for their actions....it's absolutely disgraceful, and even having mentioned this to their customer services, they refuse to admit it's a problem & in fact their default mode is to blame the customer(!) for not having read the Term's & Condition's correctly!

Shocking, and to be honest, this is not the way any company ought to operate....unacceptable, and surprised that they've managed to get away with it so far! #noshame
