Me and my parter booked a package holiday to Egypt in May , and on our second day at the hotel were told by the hotel that they hadnt recieved payment for our accommodation so me and my partner either had to pay the complete bill for the hotel ( which we had already paid teletext) or leave the hotel .
upon showing the hotel my invoice for the room i was told this doesn't mean anything as the money hadnt been paid by teletext. i then racked up a £120 phone bill calling the teletext helpline only to be ignored twice. on the third attempt i finally got through to someone who was extremely helpful and could see the error that had occurred he then processed the payment and my hotel received confirmation that the money had been paid.
in the mean time we missed an evening excursion that we booked to go on as all in all it took about three hours to sort out the mess teletext had left us in, and what was meant to be a relaxing holiday suddenly became very stressful.
i e mailed the teletext customer services e mail over three weeks ago and still haven't had a response or been reimbursed for the massive phone bill i racked up all because of their mistake .
awful company - it may be cheap but you definitely get what you pay for .
i will never be using them again .
