found the car via autotrader, price seemed very good so went down for a look, the car was also in good condition with the promise of full service history. Did not get anything of the asking price but got slightly more than my trade in was worth, however as I deemed the price to be good I was happy to do the deal.
I had a email for the main dealer confirming when the services had been done at what mileage and when, however after buying the car I contacted them for full service history printouts, which they were not able to give me as my name did not match the name they had on records, so to get the info I have to book the car in for a MOT or service, which would be fine about from it being 50 miles away (this dealer does not have a national database). So any buyers beware of such a thing. They were able to tell me however that the cambelt had not been done, and as it happened there was a squeak coming from that error which I did not detect during the test drive so I had it done for peace of mind, something I had planned to do before buying the car.
Other than the spare tire being bald, all is well.
Sales guy was pleasant enough and handled the trade efficiently. I would go there again but I would give the car I real good check before buying, there are so many things to look at and you should consider.
