“Worst Customer Experience”

Me and my partner bought a Danni Corner sofa in the SCS collection back in the beginning of the year, arranging delivery for the 27th June - 4 MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE. At the time there was a promotion for a free carpet with any sofas over a certain value ours was £1000 therefore we qualified. We paid a deposit, and left the shop assuming SCS would be in contact regarding delivery and regarding the carpet etc etc. SCS did get in contact a couple of days later but only to advise that we hadn't paid enough of a deposit for them to put it on order for our date that we requested. I was happy to pay the extra as obviously we needed the sofa to be ordered. The months went by and come the beginning of June I started to consider that I hadn't had any correspondence from SCS so I tried calling the Thurrock store that I bought the sofa from to confirm delivery and the carpet issue, which was ridiculous I called about 5 times and it just rang and rang and rang no answer! I then decided to call the main SCS Customer service line who were helpful and then managed to put me through to the Thurrock store - On an internal call.....FUNNY THAT. They then advised me they couldn't give me a delivery date for the sofa yet and that I had to ring back the following week 'Great service'. The following week I rang again and was then advised I wouldn't be getting my sofa on the 27th and that it'd had never been a confirmed date....Not what the Sales guy said when we bought it FOUR MONTHS PRIOR!! The woman on the phone then advised it was due in their warehouse on the 27th...and that delivery would be the 1st July. Fine I could suffer a few days sitting on the floor. I forgot to ask about the carpet so tried to ring the store back again, and again....and again...and again. NO ANSWER! I then decided I'd use the SCS online enquiry messaging as I was fed up of keep calling. I sent a message enquiring about the carpet and asked for someone to get back to me as soon as possible. THIS STILL HASN'T HAPPENED. My partner then decided he would ring the next day and kept the phone ringing until someone answered. (SHOCKINGLY) The guy then advised he would look into it and call him back........This has never happened. Having now got the sofa but no carpet I'm definitely not happy with it. It's our first sofa in our first home and it creaks as if it is about 50 years old, the cushions aren't what I'd say were cushioned more like hard foam! I do not expect this of a £1000 settee, and that was sale price! I'm completely disgusted with the lack of customer service, If it was possible I wouldn't give them any stars on this review! DO NOT USE!
