The simplest procedure of opening a club account is so foreign to the staff. First when you apply you get no postal, txt or email confirmation of your application. You get a success page that says take some ID to the branch. They do not specify which ID you need. When I used a driving licence photo ID with a different address to my council tax bill they refused to accept it. Yet when I used the EXACT same documents for an application for a business account they accept that and opened the account.
When I called the help line to cancel the application I went from menu > account opening team > menu > internet account opening team > hold > hangup because of bad line quality.
Call again > menu > new to bank department > account opening > internet opening > menu > hold > cancel account.
There is not streamlined process, the staff make things up as they go along and don't follow any standard procedure and their telephone service is useless.
