Following my review - To recap. my business was struggling for past 3 years and ulyimetely closed showroom with debt which are being paid at agreed amount with all creditors. I notified Norwich and peterborough in december 2013 that I would find it it difficult to pay January 2014 repayments ( never missed a payment in the past since 1996!)I explained the situation and a 3 month period of non payment was agreed until i could find new employment.During this period of agreed non payment I was harrassed with expenditure and what income earnt every month and threats of repossession etc. If the repayment did not restart. After 3 months past and everal jobs later (all sales s/employed status)I now have 2 x jobs and my wife who also was involved in the family business has 2 x jobs also! My son and daughter who are at Grammar school have also got aper round and weekend work waitressing to help out. Since April we restarted repayments and with an extra £100 per month on top to pay off arrears. This however is not good enough and the Norwich and peterborough have seen fit now to apply for repossession on 23/07/14. This because by some form of magic they expected th £2200 odd arears to be paid all at once and within 14 days after the 3 month amnesty. This was only made aware towards the end of March!During this time and their really harsh and heavty handedness in January I made a complaint which went to the regualtor and I received an apology and awarded £30.00 ish compensation for the heavy handedness. The N & P (parent Yorkshire BS) does not have a good history fined £1.4million for mispractise and courrent revieve for Y.B.S is 1.75 out of 5. Pretty dismal I think. Anyone considering a mortgage should think carefully before engaging with this shower! Ray Squires Deal Kent
