I went to the Westfield Toni and Guy salon in Shepherds Bush. After never being given the haircut i wanted over years of disappointment with hairdressers, i had brought a photo of the desired haircut, which i showed to the stylist in charge of me. He quickly looked at it and very confidently said he would not need to look at it anymore . I felt quite reassured by his confidence . Alas the result had nothing to do with the picture and when i timidly tried to convey my opinion to the stylist, this person described as " funny flexible and fashionable" on their website proved himself to be full of himself and obnoxious , refusing to cut more ( despite one of my main requests being that i wanted to have a lighter masse of hair), refusing to trim the bangs q bit more and saying that i was asking " made no sense" to him , that it was me who had badly explained to him ( despite having refused to look at the photo more than a few seconds)
What he had simply done was to just apply one technique he had learnt ( the typical toni and guy messy wispy haircut) and this had obviously a produced a result at the antipodes of what i wante
Besides i had rarely witnessed such arrogance bordering on rudeness. So all in all a bad experience , i will not come back. Their reputation is completely usurped and rather the product of clever marketing more than real competence and attention to the clients' wishes.
