“After service none existent”

I ordered a Chesterfield 1930s sofa and 3 months later it arrived. The front arm panels clearly have holes where the panels have been attached to the sofa with nails. I took photos, called and emailed DesignerSofas4U, after not hearing a thing for a week, I called and was informed that this was NORMAL with this style sofa. I explained that these holes were unsightly and could possibly get bigger asking what they intended to do about it (at that stage happy if they fixed it because the quality of the rest of the sofa I was pleased with). I was told that this was how this style was attached and that they intended to do nothing further about it!!
I have emailed them since, but don't expect to receive a reply.

(I know its a risk to order on line, but I have ordered sofas from other companies before - and received a sofa that was perfect, as well as dealing with the company) I only wished I had used them again and not Designersofa4u.
