“Poor service for bathroom”

We went to Homebase looking to refit a whole new bathroom. The staff were friendly, polite and happy to work with us. They designed the bathroom and allowed us to pick any products for the bathroom and assured us all products/design have been taken into account and costs £2000. Installation costed £4000, we thought this was too expensive and decided to have a local fitter so just ordered the products only. We were all happy at this point.

Until, the delivery were late and we had to ring every other day to chase for an exact date of delivery. When delivery did arrive, the sink was broken which then had to be reordered and wait for another week to arrive. The delivery guys didnt even want to take the broken sink away and left it at our disposal! In addition, there were 4 packs of additional tiles left over following fitting. How could they design a bathroom quoting incorrect quantities?! To add to this, they misled us on the incorrect advice on the choice of showers and taps in which they were not appropriate for the house. So we spent more than we had to!

Overall, alot of hassle from Homebase. I wouldnt recommend purchasing from Homebase or using their design service. Only positive outcome is im glad we didnt go for their installation service as well!
