“A nightmare”

Put down a deposit 2 months ago, paid for my extras. The house was built but the interior not finished. Exchanged 2 weeks ago. When I finally got to go into the house, all of the interior walls were in the wrong place. Hard to believe, but true. They tried to deny it, but had to concede in the end as they were nearly a metre out!!!

Turns out they put in a much smaller staircase that they should have and all of the front rooms have now shrunk and the back rooms grown. The en-suite master room was turned into a single bedroom. After many complaints and contacting head office plus two site meetings they agreed to move a stud wall to an agreed place to make the master bigger.

Imagine my horror when I went in today to see that they have again put the wall in the wrong place. The site manager said that his boss made him do it and he cant move it. A big fat lie I think. He just got it wrong. Again!

None of the extras have been put in, there is a hole in the roof, there are smashed windows, the basin was put in higher than the window sill and a multitude of other bodges. The garden is a swamp, full of rubble. They cover the rubble with a membrane and throw gravel on it. Looks awful. If things are like this before I move in, what on earth will the service be like after.

All the things that others have said about Charles church/Persimmon are true. Dreadful. I am really scared about what I have let myself in for.
